Canadian Heritage Multiculturalism

Diverse Voices Same Message

The “Diverse Voices Same Message” initiative by the Welland Heritage Council and Multicultural Centre, funded by the Canada Heritage Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism Program, is set to make a powerful impact in Welland, Fort Erie, and St. Catharines, Ontario. This project will bring together Indigenous and Black youth leaders to design and lead workshops, events, and cultural exchanges that celebrate and honour their communities’ knowledge. By fostering greater cultural understanding and inclusivity, the initiative aims to increase awareness of Canada’s cultural diversity, address racism and discrimination, and provide meaningful opportunities for youth engagement.

With a passionate Youth Council at the helm, this initiative promises to be a dynamic journey toward greater inclusivity and understanding. Get ready for an exciting blend of activities that will build connections and create lasting memories as we work together to eliminate discrimination and promote unity.
