Helping Our Community Overcome Barriers

Since its inception in 1976, the Welland Heritage Council and Multicultural Centre (WHCMC) has supported and empowered diverse ethnic communities in Welland and surrounding areas, including Port Colborne, Pelham, Wainfleet, and Fort Erie. Established initially to aid Vietnamese immigrants in Fort Erie, WHCMC has since broadened its scope to welcome newcomers from around the globe.

Our comprehensive range of settlement services reflects our commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment. Operating a satellite office in Fort Erie and working closely with the Multicultural Network of Niagara Falls, WHCMC is dedicated to helping immigrants integrate smoothly and thrive in Canada.

As a non-profit charity, we are driven by our mission to dismantle integration barriers and provide immigrants with the essential life and work skills needed to succeed in their new homeland. Our growth parallels the growing immigrant population in the region, and we continuously enhance our services and outreach efforts to serve our community better.

At WHCMC, we believe in the power of diversity and the strength it brings to our community. Our programs and services are designed to empower individuals and families, enabling them to build a brighter future and contribute to the vibrant cultural mosaic of Canada. Join us in our journey to make a meaningful difference in the lives of newcomers and create a more inclusive society for all.
